This is the "scenes" file from one of the three "chapters" on the original Sherlock Holmes (DOS, 1992) disc entitled "Mummy's Curse" (which is why the file has an .MC extension). The other files on the disc are SCENES.MM and SCENES.TIN for other "chapters" of the game, so the file extension should be ignored when trying to determine what kind of file format it is (ie. it is not an "MC" file). The file has several video scenes in it; it is not one long continuous video. Visual Inspection: Videos appear to be 160x120 or 160x100, 256 colors, with a datarate not exceeding 1X CDROM. May be a modified animation format (like FLI/FLC), because the video was pre-processed to be almost completely noiseless in order for the codec to keep its data below 1X CDROM. I regret I was unable to take a screenshot because I don't have my oldskool PC up and running right now and could not get the program running under Win98 or WinXP.
